42nd Street
Dates and Times:
* July 27 & 28: evening performances at 7:30 pm
* July 28 & 29: matinees at 2:00 pm
* August 2, 3 & 4: evening performances at 7:30 pm

All shows in the VBC Playhouse.
Synopsis: Take a step back in time to big, bold, romantic musical comedy
with toe-tapping songs and dances! Set in 1933, 42nd Street celebrates the
stuff that dreams are made of. Fast-paced and spectacular, 42nd Street will
entertain everyone with memorable show tunes, dazzling dances, gorgeous
costumes, and full orchestra. It's a must see!

Audition Opportunities
Ovation Arts
Ovation Arts announces auditions for their production of "You're a Good Man,
Charlie Brown."
Location and Times: Auditions will be held at Ovation Performing Arts
Center, 8006 Old Madison Pike, Suite 11-B in Madison. The audition schedule
is as follows:
* Monday, July 23: 2:00 - 8:00 PM
* Thursday, July 26: 2:00 - 8:00 PM
* Saturday, July 28: 5:30 - 9:00 PM
Cast Requirements: Parts are available for 7th graders and up.
Be Prepared: Those wishing to audition should prepare 90 seconds of a
Broadway or pop song with blocking. An accompanist will be provided. A dance
audition will be taught.
Show Schedule: Rehearsals will begin August 21, and the performances will
run October 18 - 21.

Fantasy Playhouse
Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater announces auditions for "Snow White
and the Seven Dwarfs".
Location and Times: August 11 and 12 at 1:30 pm. Auditions held at the
Fantasy Arts Center, 3312 Long Ave.
Cast Requirements: ages 6 yrs through adult. All those auditioning must be
minimum age by audition date.
Show Schedule: Production dates are October 12-14 and 19-21 at the VBC
Playhouse.

Other Info: "Snow White" will be directed by Micki Lighthall. Volunteers to
help with production needs are invited to sign up at this time as well.

Theatre Huntsville
Auditions are announced for the ALABAMA PREMIERE of Christopher Durang's
hilarious tale of Tannenbaum trauma, "Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas
Binge".
Location and Times: Auditions are Sunday, 12 August at 6:00 p.m. and Monday,
13 August at 6:30 p.m. in The Arts Council Meeting Room at the Von Braun
Center in Huntsville. Callbacks, if required, will be held on Tuesday, 14
August, time TBA.
Cast Requirements: Parts are available for a minimum of six men, four women,
and two children. The script allows for adults to portray children's parts
and for doubling, so cast size and age range is variable! Particularly
looking for, as the script describes it, a "striking, theatrical black
woman" to play the Spirit of Christmas Past, Present, AND Future.
Be Prepared: Be prepared to sing a short song to demonstrate your ability,
as there is some music (albeit NOT difficult) in the show.
Show Schedule: The show runs the two weekends prior to Thanksgiving.

Theatre Huntsville
Theatre Huntsville will hold a General Membership meeting on Monday, July
30, at Green Hills Grille, in Huntsville. If you want to get dinner before
the meeting, plan to arrive at 6:00 pm. The meeting itself will start at
7:00 pm. Major agenda items for the meeting will be
* Discussion and voting on two proposed TH By-law amendments
* Election of Officers and Board members for the 2007-2008 Season
* Selection of Final Nominees for the TH "Noah" Awards.
Other reports and announcements of TH activities will also be made.
[Membership in Theatre Huntsville is open to all adults interested in
theatre. Requirements for membership are the completing of a TH Membership
Application, the paying of $10 in dues per year, and the review and approval
of the application by the Board of Directors. For further information,
